Welcome to phonics play!
On this site you will find free interactive phonics games and spelling games to develop phonemic awareness and help children learn to read and spell. Teachers will also find phonics lesson plans and printable phonics flashcards along with a wide range of other resources and support for developing subject knowledge. This will hopefully help to ensure that all teachers feel supported in teaching synthetic phonics in accordance with the recommendations of the Rose Review. Parents will find explanations of what phonics is and how schools teach phonics and other reading strategies. There is also a range of information about how you can help your child learn to read and recommendations for great books to share. Children have access to phonics games and spelling games.
